The first thing you need to know is that all the food is beautiful. The second thing is that it’s as delicious as it looks.
I’ve been a fan of Laziz since the first time I walked into their restaurant a little over a year ago.
Upon entering the restaurant, the first thing that hits you is the wonderful aroma of Middle Eastern spices wafting sultrily from the kitchen into the bright, open dining space. Right away you feel at home – the space is clean and contemporary, yet inviting and welcoming.
Owners Moudi Sbeity and Derek Kitchen have taken the time to create a truly delightful eating and gathering experience in the heart of of Salt Lake. It’s easy to linger here, long after you’ve scarfed down that fattoush salad and zaatar fries. But, I’m better with visuals than I am with words, so I’ll let the pretty pictures of a few of their popular dishes do all the talkin’. Try not to drool.
Sweet Summer Babies and Newborns | Jackelin Slack Photography
Baby Stories: smiles, coos and, yes, poos

Yes, it's inevitable. Newborns will poop the minute you take their diaper off for a little bare bum shot. And they'll pee too. It's a fact of life. Thank goodness it's sweet smelling baby poop and not the real, grown up stuff. And thank goodness, too, for washing machines. Am I right?
This summer I was lucky to photograph three gorgeous little baby girls. Lucky me. Here are a few highlights.
